Here are some basics for all Golden Valley parents:
1. Dress Code: The most important thing to remember is to keep it simple. Send your children to school wearing clothes that fit properly and allow for movement and that aren't distracting to other students. Read the Dress Code here.
2. Attendance: It is important that your children are at school unless they are ill. However, if they are out, you will need to call the Attendance Line at (916) 987-6641 each day they are absent. Read the Attendance Policy here.
3. Volunteering: We could not exist as a school without the help of our parent volunteers. To volunteer on campus or on Field Trips, you must be LiveScanned (fingerprinted). You must also have specific coverage for your automobile insurance. Please see below for detailed information.
4. Annual Giving: Contact our GVEF Board members at gvef@goldenvalleycharter.org or visit the AGC page here for answers to many of your questions about our Pledge program. Your contributions support Professional Development for our Teachers and help provide classroom supplies for our enriched curriculum inspired by Waldorf education.
4. Parking & Drop-Off/Pick-Up: Many of our families do not live within walking distance of our campus, so we have many cars arriving at the same time from drop-off and pick-up. How can you help with this?
1. Kindergarten Entry: If your child is entering kindergarten this year, you will need to provide the office with the following required documentation:
